AP US Gov – If you are going to be busy at the first of the year with school activities like band, football, softball, or volleyball, you might consider reading and taking notes over the following readings and or videos to get a head start on class before school starts. You will not have work to turn in but you will have quizzes and tests over the standards so prepare in a way that will help you master the material for assessment.
AP Comparative – If you are taking AP Comp Gov we will spend the minimum time on Financial Literacy in order to give us maximum time to fit Financial Literacy, US Gov, and Comparative Gov in the school year. You will have readings and videos to watch every night. You should consider doing the work ahead of time, especially if you will have work or school activities. You will not have work to turn in but you will have quizzes and tests over the standards so prepare in a way that will help you master the material for assessment.
3. Readings and PowerPoints [Oklahoma State Dept of Education]
—-Focus on main concepts and vocabulary. The assessments are often based from these materials.
4. Better Money Habits Videos [Khan Academy and Bank of America]
—-There are four categories to choose from at the top of the page.
